We sent a “Boursin Irresistible Treat Box” to three bloggers, asking them to organize a small aperitif among friends. The concept was simple: create a Boursin Bar allowing your guests to personalize their appetizers in a friendly setting. Here’s what they put together.
Brooke, who writes Brooklyn Berry Designs, invited her guests for a book-club themed get- together complete with decorative pages on the wall and well-worn books on the table. The guests’ conversations about creating the perfect appetizer were surely just as lively as the ones about their latest readings! Among the clear favourites were canapés with Boursin Cranberry & Pepper with orange marmalade, Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs with salami, pear, and pecans, and Boursin Red Chili Pepper with cranberries and marmalade.
For Brandi, who initiated Yee Wittle Things, tea time is the ideal occasion to entertain with style. A few teapots and mismatched teacups set the tone, and the Boursin platter was showcased in the centre of the light snack table including traditional finger sandwiches on a tiered tray and all of the ingredients needed to create magnificent morsels. Boursin Cranberry & Pepper was extremely popular, especially as a canapé combined with nut bread and roasted turkey.
Following an entertaining pedicure, Cheryl, founder of Moms & Munchkins, invited her guests for a spectacular spread set in a golden decor complete with glimmering plates, napkins and candles. Deli meats, French baguette, crackers, gourmet jams and marinades were paired with Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs, Boursin Cranberry & Pepper and Boursin Shallot & Chive. Cheryl also used Boursin Red Chili Pepper to create delicious chorizo profiteroles.
Let yourself be inspired by these bloggers’ happy hour ideas to create your very own Boursin Bar. Simply set out a selection of Boursin cheeses and ingredients, allowing your guests to create appetizers to suit their taste. This ultra-friendly concept invites you to make rich flavour discoveries!
